Dr. Andrew Rut, CEO of MyMeds&Me, will be presenting at Medtec Europe 2018, held in Stuttgart, Germany 17-19 April. Medtec Europe brings together companies in the medical device supply chain to share ideas and provide insight into key trends throughout the medical technology industry.
Andrew will be discussing the role of big data in the healthcare sector. His presentation, titled ‘Is big data always good data?’ will outline how big data is impacting the pharmaceutical industry and how it can be best utilised by those operating within the sector.
Dr. Andrew Rut, said: “Big data presents a great opportunity for the pharma industry. In particular, we see the rise of real-world data from patients who represent a more diverse set of demographics, ethnicities and disease patterns than the comparatively narrow selection enrolled into traditional clinical trials. Such integrated data derived from traditional medical sources, genetic profiling, self-monitoring and self-reporting will become increasingly valuable in driving the understanding of the efficacy and safety profiles of innovative medicines. This is about healthcare providers individualising therapies and risk management program based on the integration on robust, integrated data sources. To capitalise on these opportunities and to ensure patient safety, we need to be sure of the validity and transparency of our data by capturing purer data, faster through SaaS solutions such as Reportum.”
Dr. Andrew Rut will be will be joined by over 7,000 medical technology professionals from 76 countries around the world to discuss products and services from all stages of production.
